The Council of International Students Australia (CISA) is the national peak student representative body independently run by international students for international students studying at the postgraduate, undergraduate, private college, TAFE, ELICOS and foundation level.

CISA was inaugurated on Wednesday July 7, 2010 at the University of Tasmania, Hobart through the joint efforts of the National Union of Students (NUS), Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations (CAPA) and the Australian Federation of International Students (AFIS) to form a unified voice for all international students.

PIER supports CISA through our network of technical services and applications and through offering the International Student Leadership Program (ISLP)
